Bay
Sails in to Wellington Square!
The status of Wellington Square Shopping Centre as
Stockton
’s
premier destination for cutting edge fashion has
been reinforced with the opening of Bay Trading
Company, a national chain aimed at ladies aged 18
to 25.
The 1,200 sq ft store has been fitted out in Bay’s
corporate style, offering a high range of high
quality and attractively priced clothing and
accessories from the new autumn/winter range. The
new store follows on from the recent opening of
Select and provides a significant boost to
Wellington Square
’s
fashion offering, which also includes H&M,
Debenhams, Marks & Spencer, Topshop and Pilot.
“Bay Trading Company is currently involved in a
nationwide expansion strategy and
Stockton
has been high on our list for new store
openings,” says Michelle Spinks the store
manager. “
Wellington
Square
was chosen due to its popularity as a retail
destination and also for the size and adaptability
of the retail units. We feel that our target
customers will naturally gravitate towards the
centre.”
The store will create a total of seven new part and
full-time roles, including management, supervisors
and sales assistants, who will all be fully
trained in order to offer the highest levels of
customer service. Bay’s arrival is also a boost
to
Stockton
town centre as whole, with an expanded fashion
offering helping to retain shoppers in the town.
“We are very proud of
Wellington
Square
’s
portfolio of fashion stores, which makes the
centre an absolute must for fashion-conscious
shoppers in
Stockton
,”
says Rob Gildersleeve, centre manager. “The
arrival of Bay is a further boost to this position
and we are delighted to welcome Michelle and her
team to our retail community.”
With
38 high street stores, including Debenhams,
H&M,
River
Island
,
New Look, Marks & Spencer and many more, plus
over 800 secure parking spaces,
Wellington
Square
has something for
everyone.
