New Look fashion show boosts Tommy's Funds

New Look at Wellington Square have raised over £400 from fundraising at their Stockton store. The final push was from a fashion show at the store on Thursday evening, where store staff and children modelled the latest fashions, and there was a tombola and raffle.

It’s all in aid of Tommy’s Charity, which exists to save babies' lives through funding research into and providing information on the causes and prevention of miscarriage, premature birth and stillbirth. By 2030 it is the aim to halve the number of babies who die during pregnancy or birth. The charity is supported by New Look nationally.

New Look manager Andrea Gibson said: “We all support the New Look charity and want to do our bit for Tommy’s to help save babies. Our staff had a great time taking part and there was a good turnout of shoppers. It was a satisfying evening especially when we knew we had topped £400.”

Wellington Square centre manager Rob Gildersleeve said: “It’s very commendable when our stores do something extra to support other people, and this is a very worthy charity. We’re glad it went so well and that our shoppers have been so generous in their support.”
