Mum's
in the picture

Wellington
Square invited back the Mayor of Stockton-on-Tees
Cllr. William Noble to present the prizes to the
winning Mum in their Mother’s Day painting
competition. Tia Cheung of Mill Lane Primary
School was the overall winner when Cllr Noble
spotted her excellent painting, and mum Sue
attended the centre to receive her prizes.
Sue
Cheung, who has two children and lives in Norton,
won £100 to spend on an outfit at one of
Wellington Square’s top fashion shops, and she
intends to spend it in H&M at the centre. She
also benefits from a makeover from Debenhams and a
hair style and cut at Supercuts.
Tia,
apart from winning her Mum a great shopping day
out, has £25 to spend at Adams, and she has won
£50 to spend at JD Sports for her school, Mill
Lane Primary.
Sue
said: “The whole family was delighted when our
head teacher, Mrs. O’Brien, told us the good
news. We’re so proud that Tia has done so well,
and it’s been the best Mother’s Day for me! I
shop in
Wellington Square
anyway, so I know
exactly what I want and where to get it from.
I’m looking forward to it!” Sue Cheung is a
teaching assistant at St. Joseph’s in Norton,
where she has lived for the last 6 years. Both of
her daughters attend Mill Lane Primary School.
