But forget Monopoly (which causes too many arguments) and Head’s Up (there’s no point trying to explain the rules to your Great Grandad!) try out these easy and fun games instead…
Christmas Family Trivia
If you’ve always suspected that Aunty Kath was a once a spy for MI5 then this is the time to get it out of them! Have everyone write down a secret about themselves when they arrive then after pudding read them out and ask everyone to guess which fun fact belongs to who!
Give the traditional board game a festive family twist by making cards with pictures of family members, plus it gives you an excuse to use your new polaroid camera. Use Christmas prompts like “Who only eats one Brussel sprout per year?” and “Whose celebrated the most Christmas’ in our family?”
Reindeer Toss Game
Let poor ol’ Rudolph join in the reindeer games with this fun and easy to make game. Simply grab a box, draw on the famous red nose reindeer, enlist the kids to find the perfect V-shaped sticks to use as antlers and try and throw pipe-cleaner rings over the top!
