National Tea Day

THIS WEEK marks National Tea Day and there is nothing better then dunking a biscuit in a cuppa.

However, those calories soon start creeping up once you’re on your tenth custard cream in a row, so check out our top sugar-free biscuits that you can make from home…

Cinnamon Biscuits
Beat two eggs with two tablespoons of water until fluffy, then beat in fructose sweetener with cinnamon. Then combine flour, baking soda and salt and blend completely. Drop teaspoonfuls onto greased baking paper and bake at 190 for 10 minutes.

Butter Biscuits

Swap sugar for Splenda for this light biscuit. Cream butter and Splenda and add plain flour with a punch of salt. Then beat in an egg and add vanilla extract. Refrigerate for 45 minutes then use a cookie cutter and pop in the oven for 10 minutes and ta-da!

Crumbly Biscuits
Blitz walnuts, almonds and oats into a then add butter, granulated sweetener, an egg plus vanilla and almond essence and blitz again. Place 12 balls of the mixture onto a baking sheet and bake at 180 for 15 minutes – make sure you leave them to cool so that they harden and become crumbly.
